📱 Category — SaaS & Software

The software stack behind operators who ship faster than their headcount should allow.

A working directory of SaaS and software tools we've evaluated against real operator workflows — not feature checklists. Every tool here is grouped by the job it actually does, so you can find the right one without sitting through six demo calls.

What's Covered

Eight categories that cover the whole operating stack.

Most operators don't need more software — they need the right software in four or five specific places. These are the places where tooling actually moves the needle.

The Directory

Featured tools, filtered by what you're trying to solve.

Pick a category to narrow the list. Each entry explains what the tool is genuinely good at — and where it falls short — so you can rule it out fast if it isn't your fit.

How We Pick

Six questions every tool has to survive before it gets listed.

Plenty of software looks great in a demo and falls apart in month three. These are the checks that catch that early.

01
Can you try it without a sales call?

Free tier or self-serve trial. If evaluating it requires a gatekeeper, it's built for procurement teams, not operators.

02
Is the pricing legible?

Published tiers, clear usage limits, and no surprise overage billing buried in the terms.

03
Does your data come back out?

Export in a usable format. A tool you can't leave isn't a tool, it's a hostage situation.

04
How deep do integrations actually go?

A logo on an integrations page means nothing. We check whether the connection covers real fields and real triggers.

05
What happens when it breaks?

Response times, documentation quality, and whether support is staffed by people who understand the product.

06
Is it still being built?

An active changelog and a public roadmap. Abandoned software is a liability you'll pay for later.

⚠ Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you sign up for a tool through one of them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you — and in some cases you may receive a discount that isn't available otherwise.

Commissions never determine placement or ranking. A tool being listed here is not a guarantee that it's right for your business, and we'd strongly encourage you to use the free trial and evaluate it against your own requirements before committing to an annual plan.

Pricing, features, and terms are set by each software vendor and change without notice. Always confirm current details on the vendor's own site before purchasing.

Questions

Before you pick anything.

How often is this list updated?
Entries get reviewed as pricing and feature sets change, and tools are removed when they stop being maintained or the vendor materially degrades the free tier. If you spot something out of date, tell us.
Do you accept payment for placement?
No. Vendors can't buy a listing or a position in the list. Affiliate relationships exist on some entries and are disclosed above, but they don't change the order or the assessment.
I'm early stage — how many of these do I actually need?
Fewer than you think. Most businesses under $50K/month run fine on four tools: somewhere to host, somewhere to email, somewhere to track deals, and somewhere to store documents. Add tooling when a specific bottleneck shows up, not in advance of it.
Should I pay annually to get the discount?
Only after you've run the tool monthly for a full cycle and confirmed it's embedded in your workflow. Annual discounts are usually 15–25%, which is not worth locking yourself into a tool you'll abandon in week six.
A tool I use isn't listed. Can you add it?
Send it over. We'd rather hear about tools from operators who've actually run them in production than discover them through a vendor's press release.

Not sure which category you belong in?

Start from the bottleneck, not the tool. Tell us what's currently slowing you down and we'll point you at the two or three options worth your time.
